Q: What is Roomiversity?
A: Roomiversity is a housing app designed specifically for students who want to find shared accommodation and/or roommates. Hosts post available rooms or flats, and seekers (students) can browse, apply for listings that match their needs, and post ads asking for roommates.
Q: Who can use Roomiversity?
A: For the seeker role, any student older than 16 can use the app — whether you're looking for a place to stay or have a room to offer. For the host role, any kind of person can register as so. All users must register with a valid email.
🔸 ACCOUNT & PROFILES
Q: How do I sign up?
A: Inside our website, there is a sign up button on the right rop corner, sign up using a valid email. You'll choose whether you're a Host or a Seeker.
Q: Can I switch from host to seeker, or vice versa?
A: No.
Q: Is verification required?
A: Not right now, but we are working on the student verification.
🔸 FOR SEEKERS
Q: How do I find a room?
A: Use the search filters to browse listings based on your preferences: location, price, type of room, and more. Once you find a listing you like, you can contact the host or apply directly. Besides, you can search in the search bar for any key word
Q: Can I message a host before applying?
A: Absolutely! Use the built-in chat to ask questions or schedule a viewing before submitting your application.
Q: What if I am not ready to apply yet?
A: You can bookmark listings and come back to them later.
🔸 FOR HOSTS
Q: How do I post an ad?
A: Tap “Post Ad” fill out the details, upload photos, and publish. Your ad will be visible to all seekers on the platform.
Q: Can I edit or delete my ad later?
A: Yes, go to “My Ads” in your dashboard to make changes or remove the listing at any time.
Q: Can I review seekers before accepting them?
A: Yes, you can chat with them before confirming anything.
🔸 SAFETY & PRIVACY
Q: How does Roomiversity keep users safe?
A: We monitor listings for scams or inappropriate content. We recommend all users to avoid sharing sensitive information in chats. We are working on a report system to report any suspicious behaviour directly in the app.
Q: Who can see my profile?
A: If you post an ad, all the people that see your ad can also see your profile. As a seeker, if you do not post any ad, only the people that you contact can see your profile.

Q: Is Roomiversity free to use?
A: Yes.
Q: Which devices are supported?
A: Roomiversity is available via web browser.
